Police officer martyred after hit by racing car in Cholistan Desert Rally

A police assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was martyred after being hit by a racing vehicle at the midpoint of the 21st Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally at Jamgarh in Fort Abbas on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

After the accident, Rescue 1122 took immediate action and shifted the body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Fort Abbas. 

The police administration was on high alert after the incident. 

Security arrangements were tightened around the race track as spectators were evacuated. 

The first round of prepaid vehicles was underway from Fort Dalwash to Fort Jamgarh today.

Vehicles are reaching Fort Jamgarh at regular intervals.

The police officer on duty was martyred after being hit by a vehicle coming at the midpoint of the race track.

The martyred ASI was identified as Bashirul Karam Khan.
