Senior IHC official promoted to additional registrar's rank

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has promoted former Secretary to the Chief Justice, Noor Muhammad Mirza, to the post of Additional Registrar, according to an official notification.

Mirza has been appointed Additional Registrar in the Chief Justice Secretariat following the recommendation of a selection board comprising Justice Azam Khan and Justice Inam Amin Minhas. The notification of his promotion and appointment was issued with the approval of Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfaraz Dogar.

Mirza is among the founding officers of the Islamabad High Court and has been associated with the institution since its inception. During his tenure, he served as Secretary to former Chief Justice Amir Farooq and continued to perform duties as Personal Staff Officer to the incumbent Chief Justice, Sardar Muhammad Sarfaraz Dogar.

Over the course of his career, Mirza has worked closely with several top judicial figures, including the first Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court Sardar Aslam, as well as Chief Justices M Bilal and Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman.

He holds the distinction of having served under five Chief Justices of the Islamabad High Court and has spent 18 years of his total 31-year service within the court.
