Sindh CS calls emergency meeting as govt ready to hold LB polls on Jan 15

Following the orders of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the Sindh government is all set to hold the local bodies’ elections in Karachi and Hyderabad on January 15, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
As per the official sources, the Sindh chief secretary has called an emergency meeting in this regard.
The matter of the holding of local bodies’ elections will be reviewed in the meeting.
The meeting will start at 4:30pm.
The higher officials of ECP, Rangers, police, and other departments concerned will attend the meeting.
