Ex-defence minister takes a dig at PTI leaders
Former defence minister Kh Asif has taken a dig at the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) over their campaign against the election commission.
He said: “What the Election Commission of Pakistan decides depends upon its intraparty polls.
He questioned: “How many people were present in their election?
He said: “A person who joined the party a year ago was selected for the party chairman.
“Their (PTI leader’s) arguments show they are set to lose in the election.
“They are used to accepting elections only and in the form of victory.
He added “They have come to a dead end where they cannot see the way out.
“Preparations are being made to run away from the election.
“Various political parties have had conflicts with the establishment. What they did on May 9 is unprecedented.”
Regarding the resignation of top court judges, he said they resigned to take their privileges.
He called for legal action against the person who brought shame to the judiciary.
“Those who defamed the judiciary should face the law.”
