14 injured in rabid dog attack in Taxila
At least 14 people were injured after a rabid dog attacked pedestrians near Wah General Hospital in Taxila on Tuesday.
According to rescue officials, the injured were immediately shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Of the victims, 10 people were reported to be in critical condition due to severe bite injuries.
Rescue sources said that around 20 injured persons were later transferred to DHQ Hospital Rawalpindi for advanced medical care, where several remain in critical condition. Other injured individuals are being provided medical assistance at local health facilities.
Teams of Rescue 1122 reached the scene promptly after receiving information about the incident and helped transport the victims to hospitals.
Local authorities have urged residents to remain cautious and have called for immediate measures to control stray dogs in the area to prevent further incidents.
