Material crisis for new connections in SNGC Lahore region intensifies

Material crisis for new connections in Sui Northern Gas Company (SNGC) has intensified, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

Despite paying demand notices worth millions of rupees, connections could not be given to consumers. 

Consumers have deposited around Rs300 million in demand notices with Lahore Regions. 

About 10,000 consumers have submitted demand notices worth Rs42,000 each for LNG-based connections in company’s Lahore region. 

However, connections could not be given to consumers due to exhaustion of material stock. 

Consumers are forced to visit various offices despite paying millions of rupees. 

Earlier, the federal government had approved giving gas connections to consumers on the basis of LNG. 

After approval, demand notices were given to consumers with heavy security.
