Thick fog forces cancellation of 22 flights across country

Dense fog badly affected the flight operations at across the country as 22 domestic and international incoming and outgoing flights were cancelled, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

Different flights of Flynas, Gulf Air, Flyadeal, Air Asia, Ethiopian Air, Air Sial, Airblue and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) were cancelled.

Eight flights of Air Sial, which were scheduled to operate between Lahore, Sialkot, and Islamabad, were cancelled.

Two flights of Flyadeal, which were scheduled to operate between Riyadh and Karachi, were cancelled.

Two-way flights of Airblue, which were scheduled to operate between Lahore and Karachi, also faced cancellation.

Two flights of Ethiopian Air, which were scheduled to depart and land in Karachi and Addis Ababa, were cancelled.

Two flights of PIA, PK-306 and PK-307, were cancelled. These flights were scheduled to depart and land in Karachi and Lahore.

A two-way flight of Air Asia, which was scheduled to land in Karachi and depart for Kuala Lumpur, was cancelled.

Moreover, six flights failed to depart from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, and two were delayed due to dense fog.

Four flights which were scheduled to land at Sialkot International Airport, were delayed for four hours due to thick fog.

A two-way foreign airline flight, which was scheduled to land at Sialkot International Airport, was cancelled.

A Pakistan International Airlines flight, which was scheduled to land at Multan International Airport from Karachi, will now land at 12.30 pm after a delay a one and a half hours.

Four flights were already delayed at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar. A foreign airline flight, which was scheduled to operate between Faisalabad and Dubai, was cancelled.

Six flights were cancelled, and ten were delayed due to poor visibility recorded at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.

The visibility range was recorded as 500 meters at Lahore Airport’s runway. 

Airblue flight no. PA-401 was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to land in Karachi from Lahore.

Another Airblue flight no. 402 was canceled. The flight was scheduled to land at Lahore Airport from Karachi.

An Etihad Airways flight EY-285 was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to depart from Lahore for Abu Dhabi.

Another Etihad Airways flight EY-286, was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to land in Lahore from Abu Dhabi.

A PIA flight PK-345, was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to land at Lahore Airport from Najaf.

Another PIA flight, PK-346 was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to depart from Lahore for Najaf.

A PIA flight PK-860, was delayed for four hours. The flight was scheduled to arrive from Jeddah to Lahore.

A Saudi Arabian Airlines flight SV-735 was delayed by one hour. The flight was scheduled to land in Jeddah from Lahore.

A PIA flight PK-725 was delayed by one hour. The flight was scheduled to depart from Lahore for Riyadh after a delay of one hour.

A Turkish Air flight TK-745 was cancelled. The flight departed after a delay of one hour.
