Zardari arrives in Manama on four-day official visit to Bahrain

President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Manama on a four-day official visit to Bahrain, aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

On his arrival, the president was received by the Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani. Bahraini Ambassador to Pakistan Mohammed Ibrahim Abdul Qadir and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bahrain Saqib Rauf were also present at the airport.

During the visit, President Zardari is scheduled to meet King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain as well as Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The meetings are expected to focus on enhancing cooperation in political, economic, and development sectors.

The president will also address a reception at the headquarters of the Economic Development Board in Manama, where he is expected to highlight Pakistan’s economic potential and explore opportunities for increased trade and investment between the two countries.

The visit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to deepening its longstanding ties with Bahrain.
