Pakistan will receive two million doses of Sinovac Vaccine consignment from China later today (Tuesday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel quoting its sources.

Pakistan has bought these vaccines and would be receiving a total of 15 million vaccine doses by the end of July.

So far, 6.5 million doses have been brought to the country including two million doses of Sinovac from China and another two million doses of Sinopharm vaccine of coronavirus.

Another 21 people died and 1,590 were infected from coronavirus during the last 24 hours across Pakistan, showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Tuesday morning.

As per the latest NCOC figures, with the addition of 21 new deaths, the toll has now soared to 22,618 whereas the total number of cases has now reached 976,867 after adding 1,590 new ones.

During the past 24 hours (Monday), as many as 732 patients have recovered from the virus whereas the total recoveries stood at 914,605. As of Tuesday, the total count of active cases was recorded at 39,644 and the positivity ratio stood at 3.63 percent.
