DPM Dar to leave for China tomorrow to attend SCO meeting

Deputy Prime Minister/ Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is set to leave for China on Monday at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to attend Shanghai Cooperation Organization Foreign Ministers Council meeting, reported 24NewsHDTV Chanel. 

The SCO Foreign Ministers Council meeting is being held in the Chinese city of Tianjin on July 15. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will hold important meetings with other participating foreign ministers on the sidelines of the meeting. 

Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is also expected to participate in the meeting but Ishaq Dar will not meet his Indian counterpart at the SCO Foreign Ministers' Council meeting. 

However, Dar will meet his Chinese, Russian, Central Asian, Turkish counterparts. The deputy Prime Minister will also attend the 25th SCO Heads of State Council meeting in August. The Heads of State Council meeting will also be held in the Chinese city of Tianjin.
