Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Sunday said that the former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan was ready for talks for the sake of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference along with Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Ahmad Khan Bhachar and Salma Akram Raja in Lahore, he said that the government was after the PTI leaders and workers for which it would be held accountable. “No other political party has received the kind of treatment that has been meted out to the PTI,” he said, adding, “Everybody should be equal before the law.”

The KP CM, however, made it clear that Imran Khan would talk to only those who wielded power in the country.

He further said that on the orders of the former prime minister, a movement had been launched.  "It is make or break," he said, adding, "The movement will be at its climax on August 5."

Gandapur said that when the PTI sought permission for a rally in Lahore, it would guarantee that its workers would not indulge in vandalism.

He challanged Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to win an election against his brother. "If you lose the election, you will quit politics. And in case you win, I will quit politics."
