Interior Minister Naqvi reaches Tehran, meets Iranian counterpart
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has reached Tehran on Sunday to attend trilateral conference on pilgrims and border issues which will be held in Tehran on Monday, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
Iranian Interior Minister Eskandhar Momeni warmly welcomed his Pakistani counterpart Mohsin Naqvi at Imam Khomeini International Airport. Senior officials of the Iranian Interior Ministry, Pakistani Ambassador to Iran Mohammad Mudassar Tipu and diplomatic officers were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi meets Iranian counterpart and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Iranian Interior Minister on the occasion extend a heartfelt welcome to Naqvi on his visit to Iran. “Of course, your visit will prove helpful in promoting Pak-Iran relations”, Iranian Interior Minister. Mohsin Naqvi said, “Iran is our brotherly neighboring country. We attach special importance to bilateral relations”.
Interior ministers of Iran and Iraq will also participate in the trilateral conference. A trilateral conference of the interior ministers of Pakistan, Iran and Iraq is being held in Tehran at the request of Pakistan to resolve border and other related issues. Interior Minister Naqvi will also meet Iranian President Masoud Peshkeshian.
