'Most Wanted' dacoit killed in Khairpur police encounter

A 'most wanted' dacoit was shot dead during a police encounter, and his other colleagues escaped from the scene in Khairpur district of Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
 The police encounter occurred within the jurisdiction of the Section B Police Station in Khairpur. 
Police recovered a snatched motorcycle and a pistol from the scene. 
According to the details, the SHO of Section B Police Station, Luqman, received credible information that some unknown dacoits were planning to commit a robbery in Memon Mohallah, Luqman.
The police immediately rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. After taking notice of the police, the dacoits started firing at the police party. 
During a heavy exchange of fire, one notorious dacoit, who was identified as Ashkeel Phulphoto, received serious bullet injuries and died on the spot.
The dead dacoit was dodging the police by changing his name. The dead dacoit was involved in some serious criminal cases.
SSP Khairpur said that police are collecting the criminal record of the accused from other districts. A search operation is already underway to apprehend the dacoits who fled from the scene.
