Four proclaimed offenders kill in police encounters in Sheikhupura

Four suspects wanted in connection with the murder of four people were killed during separate police operations in Punjab after allegedly being hit by gunfire from their own accomplices, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday. 

According to police, a Khanewal police team conducted a raid in the Farooqabad area of Sheikhupura following a tip-off to arrest suspects wanted in multiple murder cases.

During the operation, the suspects allegedly opened indiscriminate fire on the police party.

Officers remained unharmed due to their bulletproof jackets.

Police claimed that during the exchange of fire, two proclaimed offenders, identified as Tahir Shah and Usman Arain, were fatally struck by bullets fired by their own accomplices.

The City Police Station, Khanewal, wanted them in a murder case.

Police said three other suspects, Faisal Shah, Azhar Ali, and an unidentified accomplice, managed to flee the scene.

Later, police tracked down the fugitives in the Kacha Khuh area, where another alleged encounter took place.

 According to police, the main suspect in the quadruple murder case, Faisal Shah, and his accomplice, Rana Azhar alias Fauji, were also killed after allegedly being caught in gunfire from their own associates during the operation.

Police described Faisal Shah as a highly dangerous proclaimed offender who had been absconding for 11 years and was allegedly involved in armed robbery, narcotics trafficking, and several serious criminal cases.
