Rape-murder accused of minor girl killed in Nankana encounter

An accused who raped and killed a 4-year-old girl in Nankana Sahib was gunned down in a police encounter, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

A spokesman of the police said that a police team from War Burton Police Station was shifting the accused back to the police station after identification of the crime spot.

During the process, the accused escaped from the police custody. The police cordoned off the entire area and started raiding different location apprehend the culprit.

Later, the police team signalled three suspicious motorcycles to stop. But instead, they started firing straight at the police team. 

During heavy exchange of fire, one of the accused died due to the firing of his own accomplices, and two of his companions escaped from the scene.

The dead accused was later identified as Faisal, son of Allah Ditta, who was involved in murder and rape.

Police summoned teams from the crime scene unit and the Punjab Forensic Science Agency and started a search operation to arrest the accused.
