It seems the government functionaries always found an excuse to cause and multiply the pain and sufferings of the citizens no matter what the terrible situation is.

In the latest incident, one of the passengers died in the PIA plane crash was laid to rest in Pindigheb with his family members thinking they had offered last rituals for their beloved one, which wasn’t the case.

This blunder was caused by the PIA administration which handed over the body of another person to the heirs of Zeeshan – a resident of the Pindigheb tehsil in Attock district.

So the family members transported the body to their native area, offered funeral prayers for the deceased and laid him to rest at the local graveyard with a hope that they would be able to close the painful chapter forever.

However, it wasn’t the case as they were later informed that the body was actually of Zohaib, a resident of Karachi, after which the widow and brother of Zeeshan visited Karachi for the second time to collect the actual remains.

As a result, Zeeshan was at last laid to rest in Pindigheb as the funeral prayers and burial took place again. Meanwhile, the body of Zohaib has been transported back to Karachi.

A total of 97 passengers had died in the plane crash near the Jinnah International Airport on May 22 where it was supposed to land. Later, an 11-member team comprising the Airbus and French experts arrived in the port city for investigation.

After a five-day stay, the Airbus team returned to France along with the digital satellite recorder and cockpit voice recorder for decoding as a first step towards investigating any plane crash, which is a months-long process.

The government, however, has promised to present a preliminary report on June 22, exactly one month after the tragedy, to share the facts with the people.
