ASI arrested for snatching money on gunpoint in Gujranwala

Police arrested an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and his two colleagues for snatching Rs175,000 from a citizen after harassing him on gunpoint in Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to details, City Police Officer (CPO) Mohammad Ayaz Saleem took notice of a complaint filed by a citizen that ASI Qaisar Abbas, along with his two colleagues Rafiq and Rasheed, snatched Rs175,000 from them on gunpoint.
Taking action on complaint, CPO immediately took notice and directed to arrest them under sections for snatching money and taking action beyond authority.
He further said that any policeman found to be involved in illegal activities will be dealt with as per the law.
