Emmad Irfani reveals why he apologized to sanam saeed before shooting Kafeel
Actor Emmad Irfani opened up about his experience working on the hit drama serial Kafeel. Emmad shared behind the scenes memories, his admiration for co-star Sanam Saeed, and the nostalgia the project evoked. During an interview, Emmad revealed that one of the first things he did before filming began was apologize to Sanam Saeed.
The actor explained that his character in Kafeel was written as an extremely difficult and rude individual whose behavior toward Sanam's character was often harsh and toxic.
Knowing the intensity of the role, Emmad felt it was only fair to give his co-star a heads-up before they stepped onto the set.
According to him, he approached Sanam and apologized in advance, explaining that his character would be displaying what he described as a "storm of bad behavior" throughout the story.
However, Sanam took the conversation lightly and laughed off his concerns.
Apart from the discussing the on-screen dynamics, Emmad also reflected on the world portrayed in Kafeel, which transported him back to a time before smartphones became a part of everyday life.
The actor said one of the most interesting aspects of the shooting was revisiting the mid-1990s, an era when mobile phones did not exist and communication relied heavily on landlines and face-to-face interactions.
Talking about the era, Emmad noted that people used to make plans in advance and genuinely commit to them.
Relationships and conversations felt more meaningful because individuals were fully present in the moment rather than constantly distracted by screens.
Reflecting on modern life, he observed that today's interactions often feel different.
According to Emmad, it has become common for people to glance at their phone’s during the conversations.
Rather than viewing that era as more difficult, Emmad described it as simpler. He believes one of the drama's strongest messages is the reminder of how valuable genuine human connection can be.
Kafeel earned praise from audiences for its compelling storyline and strong performances from its cast.
