Veteran actor Ghulam Muhammad passes away, laid to rest in Lahore

Senior stage, television and film actor Ghulam Muhammad, popularly known as GM, passed away in Lahore at the age of 80, leaving behind a rich legacy spanning more than five decades in Pakistan's entertainment industry.

The actor was laid to rest at Miani Sahib Graveyard in Lahore following funeral prayers attended by fellow artists, relatives and admirers. Prominent actors Hassan Murad, Muhammad Ali Mir, Nasir Mir, Shahid Aziz and several others were present to pay their last respects.

Ghulam Muhammad enjoyed a distinguished career in theater, where he remained actively associated with stage dramas for nearly 50 years. Throughout his long artistic journey, he earned recognition for his performances and contribution to the country's performing arts.

In addition to his extensive theater work, GM appeared in more than 30 films and showcased his talent in several dramas aired by Pakistan Television (PTV), making him a familiar face to audiences across the country.

Members of the entertainment fraternity expressed grief over his passing, describing him as a dedicated artist whose contributions to stage, television and cinema will be remembered for years to come.

His death marks the end of an era for many admirers of Pakistan's theater and television industry.
