PML-N opts for power show on no-trust move day

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz PML-N has convened a meeting of all the Punjab office-bearers today in the wake of the party’s public gathering in Islamabad on the day of the decisive no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sources said that the PML-N has given a task to make the public gathering a successful show. Sources claimed that PMLN has decided to display their full strength in the form of the public gathering

All divisional and tehsil office holders of PMLN in Punjab have been directed to attend the meeting to decide about the power show amid the highly-charged political environment.

National Assembly Opposition Leader and PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif said that NA Speaker was a custodian of the House, a role which requires him to be neutral and above party affiliation.

He said, “Given his conduct and statements, Asad Qaiser has come across as partisan and heavily tilted in favor of PTI. There is a huge question mark on his role and probity.”

Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed earlier in the day said that the Interior Ministry will find a way if opposition and government public gatherings would be held on the same day and at the same venue.
