Judicial Commission to consider appointment of SHC addl judges

Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial has called a meeting of the Judicial Commission on March 16 to consider appointment of additional judges of Sindh High Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday, quoting its sources.

The sources divulged that the SHC chief justice has recommended nine names for appointment as additional judges of the high court. One of the proposed names is of a woman lawyer.

The recommendations included names of District and Sessions Judge Amjad Ali Bohio, Advocate Muhmmad Abdur Rehman, Advocate Khadim Hussain Soomro, Advocate Arbab Ali Hakro, Advocate Jawad Akbar Sarwana, Advocate Saleem Akhtar Boriro, Advocate Sana Akram Minhas, Advocate Rashid Mustafa and Advocate Syed Tariq Ahmad Shah.

At the moment, 20 judges are working at the SHC instead of its full strength of 40.
