Assistant Attorney General Muhammad Usman Warraich Monday resigned as no action was taken against violence on journalists in court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Assistant Attorney General Warraich said that he resigned after no action was taken against the violence on journalists in High Court. He said that the behavior of the Police and the government after the dreadful act is lamentable. There are also some personal reasons that made him resign, said Assistant Attorney General.

Muhammad Usman was appointed as Attorney General when the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) came into power. He was representing the Center in the court of Justice Babar Sattar in Islamabad High Court.
