The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for the upcoming T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The New Zealand men’s cricket team is set to tour Pakistan next month (April) for a series of five T20I matches.
The New Zealand team will arrive in Pakistan on April 14, marking the start of an eagerly anticipated cricket series. The first three T20I matches will be held at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on April 18, 20, and 21. The teams will then move to Lahore for the remaining two T20Is, scheduled for April 25 and 27.
The Blackcaps are set to tour Pakistan for the third time in just over a year. Their first visit was in late 2022 and early 2023, playing two Tests and three ODIs as part of the ICC Men’s Championship. They returned in April the same year for 10 white-ball matches in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Karachi.
Usman Wahla, Director International Cricket, expressed his delight over the upcoming tour in a press release issued by the PCB.
He highlighted the deep-rooted ties and mutual respect between the PCB and New Zealand Cricket (NZC). He also expressed hope for a competitive series, which is a crucial part of their preparation for this year’s ICC T20 World Cup.
The PCB has confirmed that all five matches of the T20I series will commence at 7:00pm (PST). The board also assured that ticket prices for the series will be set at affordable rates, with an announcement regarding ticket sales to be made in due course.
