Local holiday announced in Khairpur on eve of Hazrat Sachal Sarmast Urs 

There will be a public holiday in the entire district on the occasion of the Urs of Sufi poet Hazrat Sachal Sarmast in Khairpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Deputy Commissioner Syed Ahmed Fawad Shah has issued a notification of a public holiday in the entire district on the occasion of the Urs starting from March 14.

The 204th Urs celebrations of Haft Zaban poet Hazrat Sachal Sarmast will begin on Saturday.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will inaugurate the Urs by laying a wreath at the shrine.

Pilgrims from Pakistan and other countries will also participate in the Urs celebrations.

SSP Khairpur visited the shrine of Sachal Sarmast to see the arrangements for the Urs and also visited the CCTV monitoring room.
