Punjab governor vows to provide drinking water to everyone
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Wednesday said that coronavirus is spreading speedily and strict measures are ultimate solution. The situation will become tougher if the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) would not be followed properly, he added.
Governor Sarwar said that 90 percent water filtration plants have been closed in the province while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government would fulfill its promise to provide clean drinking water. “It was our election promise,” he added.
He said that right now steps have been taken to provide clean drinking water to two million people.
“In the past billions of rupees were wasted in the name of clean water projects,” he said.
He warned people that COVID-19 is not in control and it is spreading very fast.
