President, PM, COAS, FM, Zardari condole UAE President’s death

Pakistan’s political and defence dignitaries have expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of President of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan on Friday.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed deep sorrow.

President Arif Alvi has also extended his condolences and penned: "I express deep sorrow and grief over the death of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE. My heartfelt condolences to the government and the people of the United Arab Emirates".

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, President Arif Alvi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, former President Asif Ali Zardari, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other dignitaries have declared the death of the UAE President a big loss of Pakistan.

In a Twitter message, the Prime Minister wrote that UAE has lost a visionary leader and Pakistan's great friend.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General, all ranks of the Pakistan Army including COAS General Bajwa expressed regret over the death of the UAE President.

General Bajwa has said in a condolence message that Pakistan has lost a close friend, may Allah Almighty place the deceased in mercy.

Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) President Asif Ali Zardari expresses deep grief over the death of the UAE president and said that Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan was a great friend of Pakistan.

Asif Ali Zardari extends condolences to the family of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and said the leadership of the People’s Party is saddened by the demise of the UAE president. Zardari prayers for the high ranks of President Sheikh Khalifa in Heaven.

Foreign Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his condolence message has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. 

Bilawal Bhutto said with the demise of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Arab region has lost a great ruler.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz also extended her condolences and penned: “With the death of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Pakistan has lost a great friend who has stood with her through thick and thin.”
