Wheat flour rate hits all-time high in Pakistan

The price of wheat flour has jumped to a record high in the country, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel

According to the statistics bureau report, all records of Atta prices have been broken in twin cities- Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and other parts of the country as the price of a 20-kg bag of wheat flour has reached Rs3,373 for the first time. 

The citizens of twin cities are forced to buy the most expensive flour in the country. A 20-kg bag of flour has become expensive up to 240 rupees in a week. 

, a 20-kg bag of Atta in Rawalpindi and Peshawar has become expensive up to Rs.200 within a week. 

Likewise, the bag of the same quality and quantity is increased by Rs 133 in Sialkot, Rs 125 in Faisalabad, Rs 100 in Bannu, Rs 90 in Lahore, Rs 67 in Gujranwala and Rs 66 in Bahawalpur. 

The bureau further stated that the price of a 20-kg bag of flour has been increased to Rs 60 in Sukkur and Rs 30 in Quetta. 

The Bureau of Statistics revealed that a 20-kg bag of wheat flour is available at Rs 3333 in Rawalpindi, Rs 3300 in Peshawar, Rs 3100 in Bannu, Rs 3000 in Karachi, Rs 2980 in Quetta, Rs 2800 in Hyderabad and Khuzdar.

A 20-kg bag of wheat flour is available in Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Lahore between Rs 2600 to Rs 2730. 

The statistics bureau further stated that a 20-kg bag of flour is sold in Sargodha at Rs 2533, in Sukkur and Larkana sold at Rs 2500, in Multan and Bahawalpur sold at Rs 2480, and in Faisalabad, it is up to Rs 2,440.
