Man shoots wife, then turns gun on himself in Lahore

A man opened fire on his wife after which she became critically injured and later shot himself and died on the spot in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Police said that the incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Sundar Police Station in Lahore.

The couple later was identified as Usman Arshad who was 36 years old and his wife Ayesha Hassan.

Soon after receiving the report of the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead husband and injured wife to a local hospital. 

Police sources further revealed that Ayesha is in serious condition and under treatment while the dead body was transferred to hospital’s mortuary.

Police said that they obtained evidence from the crime scene and are investigating the case from different angles.
