Govt calls Pakistani envoys moot to discuss US, Iran war
The government on Wednesday convened conference of Pakistan’s ambassadors posted in big countries to discuss the situation arising out of the military conflict between the US, Israel and Iran, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources told the 24News TV channel that the conference would be start on Thursday (tomorrow) and will continue till May 18 in Islamabad.
Sources informed that the ambassadors posted in countries situated in the Gulf and the Middle East, namely Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Oman and UAE, had been especially invited to the event. Pakistan’s envoy in the US had also been invited to the conference, they added. The suggestions and recommendations, which will be made at the huddle, will then be presented to the government.
The conference will chalk out a strategy to wholeheartedly protect the country’s interests. It will also decide the future course of action with respect to Pakistan’s role of a mediator in war between the US and Iran.
