Treatment plants to be installed to protect Rawal Dam from drain water

It has been decided to install sewage treatment plants to protect Rawal Dam water from sewage and drain water, reported 24the 24NewsHDV channel on Wednesday.
During a meeting, chaired by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, various proposals were reviewed to install sewage treatment plants on drains falling into Rawal Dam.
Mohsin Naqvi said sewage treatment plants will make it possible to provide clean water to citizens.
Encroachment mafia and illegal constructions will be completely eliminated from Islamabad, Mohsin Naqvi said.
He said operation cleanup will continue without any pressure until it achieves its logical results. 
Mohsin Naqvi directed to complete development work on new block of Parliament Lodges by June 30.
Upgradation plan of Capital Police College was also reviewed in the meeting according to which new classrooms, mess and barracks for trainees will be constructed.

The meeting reviewed the progress of ongoing and new development projects in Islamabad in detail.
The Federal Interior Minister and the Minister of State were given a detailed briefing on the development projects.
According to briefing, designs have been submitted by three international companies for the construction of a new convention center and the evaluation process is underway.
Legal requirements are being completed and construction work on the convention center will start in the last week of June.
Work is also underway on 11 newly constructed police stations in Islamabad.

Federal Secretary Interior, Chairman CDA, IG Islamabad Police, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and other officers attended the meeting.
