Police were conducting an investigation after opponents fatally shot a man and his son and set their home on fire in Setharja area of Khairpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The TV channel reported that the assailants attacked the house and opened fire on Dur Muhammad and his 12-year-old son Mobeen Narijo. Both died on the spot and later the attackers also harassed the family members of the deceased.

The attackers were fully armed and instantly opened fire, the police said.

Upon hearing the horrific incident, the police reached the crime scene located in Khabar Sehito in Setharja Town of Khairpur district and started an investigation.

The incident has spread panic and fear among the local residents.
