PML-N Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Tuesday said Adviser to the Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar was visiting the NAB office by disguising himself and changing vehicles to supervise targeting the detained Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif.
Talking to media persons in Lahore, Marriyum said cameras were installed in the cell and washroom used by Shehbaz. She added that Shahzad had ordered removing the chair used by the PML-N for daily prayers and make him sit on the floor for eating food after seeing him reading a book.
She also told reporters that Shehbaz got injured in the washroom the other day, reminding them that the condition of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif too had worsened in the NAB custody.
Marriyum made these revelations as Shehbaz is suffering from backache for years. The PML-N president too told an accountability court, which extended his physical remand in money laundering case till Oct 20, on Tuesday that he had a severe backache and was being punished to complicate the problem at the behest of Imran Khan and Shahzad Akbar.
In this connection, Marriyum challenged the adviser to visit the NAB office publicly and said the prosecutor admitted during Tuesday’s hearing that they have nothing new and wanted more time for interrogation.
The anti-graft body, she added, did not find anything against Shehbaz since Oct 23, 2018 when the probe was launched.
Marriyum remarked that they won’t allow the “Covid-18” imposed on the country by suspending the RTS behind the Covid-19.
The entire Gujranwala has become the venue of Oct 16 rally, she said and added that the container-afflicted government won’t be able to sabotage the public meeting through arrests, threats and prison.
Earlier in the day, Marriyum had said that the Oct 16 rally was giving nightmares to the selected government.
