Police tightening noose around TikToker Ayesha
The Lahore police have sought legal opinion from the law department to launch an investigation against TikToker Ayesha Akram and her partner Rambo under Peca Act for making objectionable videos and uploading them on social media, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Police officials said that uploading compromising videos and pictures on social media was culpable. If both are proven guilty, then they could get seven years imprisonment, as per the police officials.
Moreover, Judicial Magistrate Hafiz Khalid in Lahore’s local court has granted two-day physical remand of 11 accused including Rambo to the police.
The judge sought an investigation report in the next hearing.
Family members of Rambo and his co-accused in the Greater Iqbal Park case protested in the courtroom and pleaded with the court to issue arrest orders of the accused Ayesha Akram.
The accused families claimed that Ayesha Akram herself stated these persons (11 accused including Rambo) were innocent.
