Govt delegation meets Maulana Fazl to discuss KP situation
The government delegation called on JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman at his residence on Monday to discuss overall political situation of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The government delegation included Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Engineer Amir Muqam and Azam Nazir Tard. Moreover, Maulana Lutfur Rehman, Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro, MPA Sajjad Khan, Makhdoom Aftab Shah also attended the meeting. The political situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was discussed in the meeting and it was agreed that the election of the Chief Minister in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Assembly is an unconstitutional process and this process cannot be accepted. During the meeting, it was agreed that all opposition parties in the Provincial Assembly reject this process of electing the Chief Minister and also expect the Chief Justice and the Peshawar High Court to not be part of this controversial parliamentary process.
The meeting agreed upon adopting judicial attitudes, the situation is reviewed from legal and constitutional aspects and the opposition will regularly apply to the court in this regard through its lawyers' panel.
