Internet erupts as Kylie Jenner 'courts fresh controversy for attention'

Kylie Jenner has turned heads with her latest Instagram post, reigniting her "King Kylie" era with a new sultry photoshoot.

The reality star appeared almost nude, her body adorned only in shimmering aqua blue and silver glitter. Paired with a stunning crystal crown, her dramatic look sent fans into a frenzy.

As part of her new makeup collection release for Kylie Cosmetics, Jenner returned to her roots, celebrating the bold, trendsetting looks she first made famous a decade ago.

The shoot, showcasing her long, stiletto-shaped nails and dramatic raven black hair extensions, paid homage to her "King Kylie" persona, which first captivated her audience during her late teenage and early 20s years.

In the post, the mother of two shared that this nostalgic collection was inspired by the "fearless era" she began as a 17-year-old, when she launched her billion-dollar makeup empire with the help of her mother, Kris Jenner. 

“You're the reason my biggest cosmetic dreams came true, and I wouldn't be here… 10 years later! without your support," she wrote in her caption.

While the photoshoot was designed to celebrate the decade-long success of her cosmetics line, it hasn't come without its controversy. 

Jenner, who is known for her bold fashion choices, recently shared a teaser video of herself in a skin-tight outfit, handcuffed and escorted by police officers. 

This move has sparked criticism, with many calling it “out of touch,” especially in light of the ongoing ICE raids across the country.

Critics took to social media to voice their discontent, with one Reddit user commenting, “The country’s boiling over, citizens being dragged off by rogue badge-hungry rent-a-cops, and Kylie Jenner drops a handcuffed hot-pants photoshoot to promote COSMETICS. This isn't satire; it's American rot.”

The backlash echoes previous controversies involving the Kardashian-Jenner family, including the infamous 2017 Pepsi ad featuring her sister Kendall Jenner. Many wondered whether Kylie was intentionally courting controversy for attention.
