Katy Perry and former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau have been spotted sharing a kiss and engaging in some serious PDA while cruising the coast of Santa Barbara, California, on a yacht.

The intimate moment was captured in exclusive photos obtained by the Daily Mail on October 12.

Perry, 40, and Trudeau, 53, were seen cuddling up and enjoying each other's company as they relaxed on the waves.

In one particularly candid shot, Trudeau was pictured cradling Perry’s backside while the pair soaked in the sun, making it clear that their connection is more than just a fleeting fling.

Romance rumors between the Canadian political figure and the global pop star first began to swirl in July when the duo was spotted together on a date in Montreal.

They were seen walking a dog before heading to dinner at the city’s upscale restaurant, Le Violon.

Just weeks earlier, Perry had announced her split from her longtime fiancé, Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares 5-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom.

Around the same time, Trudeau had separated from his wife, Sophie Grégoire, after 18 years of marriage and three children.

The sighting in Montreal quickly caught the attention of fans, and speculation about their budding romance escalated when Trudeau was later spotted at one of Perry's concerts at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

A source close to the couple confirmed that the two had an “instant connection” and had been spending time together since their initial meeting.

Despite their undeniable chemistry, sources say the relationship is still in its early stages, with both Perry and Trudeau focusing on their personal and family lives.

A Canadian insider told People that while there is mutual attraction, the couple’s respective responsibilities have made it challenging to rush into a committed relationship.

“She's traveling around the world, and he is figuring out his life now that he is no longer prime minister of Canada, but there is an attraction,” the source explained.

 “They have a lot in common, and they are interested in each other, but it will take a while to see where this goes.”

Initially, both stars had kept their relationship relatively low-key, with one source describing their time together as a “casual first get-to-know-you” date.

However, as their connection deepens, it seems their outings are becoming more public.

Perry, who has spent a considerable amount of time touring the globe, and Trudeau, who’s adjusting to life outside of political office, have been making time to see each other despite their busy schedules.

 “Their own personal responsibilities could make this relationship move slower than it would, but there are ways to see the other and still fulfil their parenting responsibilities,” a different insider shared.

“They each have an ex, so duties are split in half, and long-distance relationships, while still hard, are possible for these two.”
