Pakistan hold intense training session in Colombo before ICC Women's World Cup clash with England

The Pakistan women’s cricket team underwent an intense training session at the Colombo Cricket Ground on Monday as they prepared for their crucial ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 encounter against England.

The Women in Green spent over three hours sharpening their skills through fielding, running, and catching drills.

The players also practiced extensively in the nets, focusing on both bowling and batting techniques.

Coaches and support staff provided targeted guidance on skill development to ensure the team’s readiness for the high-stakes fixture.

Pakistan will face England on October 15 at the R. Premadasa Stadium (RPS) in Colombo — a match seen as pivotal for their campaign.

For the unversed, the women in Green are winless in the World Cup and are yet to get off the mark on the points table.

Pakistan has suffered defeats at the hands of Bangladesh, India, and Australia. Currently, seven-time winners Australia are on top of the points table with four victories in four games.
