The transfer of the Chief Secretary of Punjab has become a shuttlecock between Punjab and the Centre, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
It has been learnt that both Punjab Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal and the Punjab government want the transfer to be done.
However, despite the request, the Centre is yet issue the notification for the transfer of the chief secretary.
Between Punjab and the Centre, no single name has been agreed upon for the appointment of the chief secretary.
Due to the government of different parties in Punjab and the Centre, deadlock in the appointment of the chief secretary remains.
Punjab has proposed the names of three officers including Ahmed Nawaz Sukhera, Abdullah Sumbal and Babar Hayat Tarar for the appointment of one of them as the chief secretary.
But, the Centre does not want to appoint any of these officers as the Chief Secretary of Punjab.
