Three die as truck falls on car in Sakhi Sarwar
Four people lost their lives and three were seriously injured in two road accidents in Dera Ghazi Khan and Chunian, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The first accident occurred when a speeding truck fell on a car due to brakes failure in Sakhi Sarwar area of Dera Ghazi Khan. The car was going to Balochistan from Multan.
The deceased belonged to the same family, which included a couple and their son, all residents of Balochistan.
The son was taking his parents for a medical check-up in Multan.
One dies in Chunian accident
In the second road accident, a man died and two seriously injured when a speedy Mazda van hit a motorcycle in Chunian.
Rescue 1122 sources said that the incident took place at Allahabad Kanganpur Road, Sham Kot in Chunian.
One man, namely Zahid, who was riding on the motorcycle, died on the spot, and two other persons, who were identified as Qurban and Talha, became critically wounded as their legs were broken during the accident.
The eyewitnesses said that the accident occurred due to speeding.
Soon after the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ).
Later, the police started legal proceedings.
Two lives lost in Gujrat car-rickshaw collision
Two men died while nine sustained injured in a road accident in District Gujrat Saturday.
The tragedy occurred when a rickshaw was parked on the road, picking up the passengers, when a speeding car was collided with it beside GT Road.
According to rescue sources, the deceased were identified as Muhammad Akram and Afzal Ahmed, residents of Ghotki and Rahim Yar Khan.
Both were passengers in the rickshaw.
Rescuers and police reached the spot, and shifted the bodies and injured to a nearby hospital.
Local police have registered a case against the car driver, who was reportedly speeding.
