PML-N not behind creation of new provinces, says Rana Sanaullah
SAPM says there is long procedure for creation of new administrative units; Adds those 'talking' to Imran Khan will pay price; Warms Fitna al-Khawarij may attack PTI's long march
Special Assistant to PM (SAPM) and PML-N stalwart Rana Sanaullah has said that when the party did not initiate discussion on the creation of new provinces, then it is easy to understand the party’s stance on the subject, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Speaking to journalists at the residence of senior journalist Mujeebur Rehman Shami in Lahore, he, while asserting that a lot of time was left in the creation of new provinces, said that if the issue landed in the parliament, it would still take six to seven months before things started taking shape.
He said whether debate in the parliament would result in the creation of new administrative units in the country or local bodies’ elections would be held or nothing would come out of it, nobody could say with certainty.
He said that some people might be talking to the former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan. “But this will not come without a price.”
Sanaullah said that the PTI workers intended to march on Islamabad fully armed. “On the other hand, there are reports that militants, designated as Fitna al-Khawarij, plan to attack the party’s rally in order to widen the gulf between the people and the government,” he apprehended.
The SAPM said that the PML-N leadership in Bahawalpur was not in favour of becoming part of the South Punjab province; but either wanted to remain independent or remain part of Punjab.
