Punjab cancels licences of 20 security companies

The Punjab government has cancelled licences of 20 security companies for violating different laws, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Punjab Home Department also issued show-cause notices to the 30 security companies on Wednesday.
According to sources, several companies had not imparted any training to its security guards. A number of companies were still operating despite expiry of their licences.
A total of 325 security companies are working under the Home Department.
