Lahore grappling with petrol shortage

The supply of petroleum products to the city has been severely affected in Lahore amid the continued protests by activists of a religious party.

Filling stations have started shutting down the pumps due to the non-availability of petrol products. PSO pump in Tajpura scheme was closed due to non-availability of petrol supply. Moreover, complaints of petrol shortage in other areas including northern Lahore, Band Road, GT Road have also been reported.

The continued protests have blocked several routes and that has put a hindrance to the in-time supply of petroleum to the city to meet the daily demand.
