National hockey training camp to start in Karachi

The players will report to Karachi today for the national training hockey camp under the auspices of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
In this regard all arrangements have been completed by PHF.
Meanwhile, Secretary General PHF Haider Hussain met with Shehla Raza, President of National Hockey Camp Management.
Olympian Ayaz Mehmood, Olympian Waseem Feroze, Olympian Rehan Butt, Olympian Muhammad Saqlain, Member Selection Committee Olympian Nasir Ali and Secretary General Haider Hussain were included in the meeting.
In the meeting, PHF president Shehla Raza instructed to equip the players with the best training.
“I am hopeful that the players will perform well in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup”, said Shehla Raza.
President PHF Shehla Raza instructed to discover new talent in national sports.
Olympian Nasir Ali told the meeting that talented players have been included in the national camp.
Coach Olympian Rehan Butt will do special work on penalty corner and attacking skills.
The players will also be equipped with defensive strategy and pressure game technique, said coach Olympian Muhammad Saqlain.
Special attention will be paid to the physical fitness of the players, coach Olympian Wasim Feroze said.
Coach Olympian Ayaz Mehmood briefed that the training will be conducted in two sessions, morning and evening and the training manual has been prepared.
