BHC reinstates Naseebullah Tareen as Service Tribunal chairman
The Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Tuesday announced a significant constitutional verdict in the Chairman Service Tribunal case, reinstating Naseebullah Tareen as Chairman of the Balochistan Service Tribunal.
In its ruling, the court declared the appointment of Abdul Hadi Tareen null and void, ordering him to vacate the office immediately. The bench also struck down the controversial government notifications related to his appointment.
The verdict was issued in Constitutional Petition No. 444/2026 by a bench headed by Chief Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Mulakhel, with Justice Muhammad Najmuddin Mengal also part of the bench.
The court directed the Additional Advocate General to ensure immediate implementation of the orders.
Further hearing of the case has been scheduled for April 21, 2026.
