Ishaq Dar updates EU HRVP Kallas on Middle East talks
Pakistan, Canada foreign ministers discuss US-Iran talks, ceasefire
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday received a phone call from High Representative of the European Union Kaja Kallas, during which they discussed the regional developments, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the conversation, DPM Dar appreciated the regular and close contact between Pakistan and the EU during the ongoing regional situation. He shared the developments about the recently-held Islamabad Talks with Kaja Kallas.
Kaja Kallas commended Pakistan’s constructive role for facilitating the US-Iran direct negotiations in Pakistan.
Both sides emphasized the need for continued dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the conflict.
The two leaders positively assessed the growing cooperation between Pakistan and the EU and agreed to maintain close contact on all issues of mutual interest.
Canada FM calls
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand to exchange views on recent developments, including the US-Iran negotiations held during the Islamabad Talks, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
During the telephonic conversation on Monday night, Foreign Minister Anita Anand appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating the dialogue.
Underscoring the importance of all parties adhering to a ceasefire, DPM Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continuing its support for dialogue and diplomacy.
Both foreign ministers agreed to remain in close contact.
