US Secretary, Senators congratulate Pakistan on Independence Day

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has extended warm congratulations to the people of Pakistan on Independence Day. In a statement, he said the United States deeply appreciates Pakistan’s engagement on counter-terrorism and trade. 

He said we look forward to exploring new areas of economic cooperation, including critical minerals and hydrocarbons, and fostering dynamic business partnerships which will promote a prosperous future for Americans and Pakistanis. 

Meanwhile, US Senator Chris Van Hollen has congratulated the Pakistani nation on Independence Day. In his message, Senator Chris Van Hollen said, “I am proud to be part of Pakistan's 79th Independence Day”. 

“I am fortunate to have a special connection with Pakistan because I was born in Karachi”, Senator Chris Van Hollen said. He added, “I have witnessed the generosity, kindness and determination of the Pakistani people my entire life.” 

He lauded that it was a source of pride to see people-to-people ties between the two countries strengthening. Meanwhile, Several US political leaders have sent congratulation messages on Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day. 

Co-Chair of the Pakistan Caucus Tom Swasey said, “this is a wonderful day to celebrate the important relationship between our two countries.” “I know how important this relationship is”, said Congressman Tom Swasey. “We need to further strengthen the relationship between our two countries and boost the economy”, said Tom Swasey. 

US Congressman stresses importance of promoting strong government-level relations as well as public relations. Congressman Tom Swasey also recognized Pakistani Community in the US for its contributions. 

US Congressman Pat Sessions from Texas also sends message on Pakistan's Independence Day. US Congressional leaders extend greetings to Pakistani people and Pakistani community in the US. US leaders send messages of goodwill on Independence Day. Congressman Pat Sessions said Congressman acknowledged Pakistani community's contributions to US-Pakistan relations. 

Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Pakistani Ambassador to the United States has extended my heartfelt greetings to all Pakistanis living in Pakistan, the United States, and across the globe on Independence Day. He said Independence Day is a day of renewal. But this time August 14th comes three months after the fight for truth in which we renewed our freedom. 

Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said it has been shown and proven that Pakistanis living in Pakistan and any region of the world are always ready to protect their freedom. Our land, naval and air forces have performed brilliantly.
