All set to move LG Ordinance 2021 in next session of PA

Buzdar led provincial government has finalized to table the Local Government Ordinance 2021 in the next session of the Punjab Assembly for approval.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the draft of the ordinance to pass from the house was ready and after adopting, it would be forwarded to the Standing Committee on Local Government for consideration.
The Standing Committee is bound to approve the draft within 60 days.
According to the Local Government Ordinance, deputy commissioners will work closely with the Election Commission for the delimitation of constituencies across Punjab.
The Deputy Commissioners will prepare all the suggestions regarding the delimitation. The provincial government will not have the power to interfere in the affairs of local government.
The local government will be an independent body that takes steps to beautify historic buildings, parks, and the city while the cases of NGOs, local sports and district administration will also be followed by the local government.
During natural disasters, local government will be able to get assistance from provincial departments as well as the care of widows, orphans, persons with disabilities will be the responsibility of the local government.
