Couple arrested in Karachi for killing woman for demanding rent

Police in Karachi on Sunday arrested a man and his wife for murdering a woman who had demanded the payment of rent from them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The body of the woman was recovered from bushes in Orangi Town locality of the city.

According to the investigators, Asma, wife of Mansoor, the deceased, used to live in the second portion of the house with her husband, and the owner of the house had tasked her with collecting the rent.

They disclosed that the couple, Adnan and Kishwar, had not paid their rent for the last three to four months.

When the deceased went to collect the rent, the couple pushed her due to which she fell and died.

The suspects then stuffed Asma’s body in a bag and tossed her near Hawwa Goth, the investigators said, adding after that the couple fled.

They informed that at the time of the woman’s death, her husband was at work.
