PIA rejects fake reports claiming Toronto flight crew sought political asylum

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) spokesperson has strongly denied a fake report circulating on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), which falsely claimed that the entire crew of a PIA flight to Toronto had applied for political asylum, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday. 

According to the spokesperson, the misleading post originated from an Afghan and anti-Pakistan account and was part of a deliberate and well-planned attempt to damage the reputation of the national airline and Pakistan.

The spokesperson clarified that there is absolutely no truth in such claims and urged the public to disregard the misinformation.

 PIA reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and warned against malicious campaigns aimed at undermining the credibility of the airline and the country.
