Fresh medical reports of PML-N Quaid and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif were submitted in an accountability court in Lahore on Friday hearing the Chaudhry Sugar Mills.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till February 28, giving Nawaz Sharif exemption from appearance.

Nawaz Sharif’s counsel Amjad Pervez submitted the fresh medical reports, saying the former prime minister’s condition is not stable yet as his treatment continued in London. “Nawaz will face the trial when he will recover,” he added.

On this, the court approved the exemption plea as Nawaz Sharif is in London on bail for medical treatment.

The court also extended the judicial remand of accused Yousuf Abbas Sharif till Feb 28.
